One of the most important products you will use on you hair at home is conditioner. Conditioners have several functions, Protection, repair, moisture, smoothing or color retention. In addition to home care conditioners, you will find that there are times that your hair needs a more intensive conditioning treatment. Maybe you spent too much time in the sun or spent time in the pool or the salty sea (and forgot to put on your protective conditioner), maybe you just had an intensive color service, or maybe your hair is naturally dry or fragile. These are all times when you need a more intensive conditioning treatment. Your stylist will prepare your hair for the conditioning treatment with a cleansing shampoo and scalp massage. Then he or she will apply the appropriate conditioner. You will often process under a heated dryer, within a hair steamer or under an infrared light. A Deep conditioning treatment usually lasts a half an hour and then your hair will be ready to be styled. Your stylist will recommend a series of follow-up treatments if necessary, or send you home with a treatment that you can do in the comfort of your own home.
