Color Correcting Treatments are very important services here at Eclipse the Salon. The word correction usually implies that there was something wrong with the color and needs to be fixed, but sometimes we use the term correction when you want to change your color dramatically. How many times have you seen someone that obviously colored their hair themselves? I am sure the answer is often. The biggest mistake blondes make is to buy a color and keep applying it over and over again over all their hair. What you end up with is white ends and orange at the scalp. In this example, we would find out what color you were really going for and make the appropriate changes. We would have to eliminate the orange at the scalp and probably add color back to the ends. After this, we would be able to give you a more balanced color result that you will be proud of. Now, a correction for the person who is just ready for a change, let’s say their hair was exactly the black color that they wanted, but then decided they wanted to be a redhead. We would have to gently remove that black that they used to love and replace it with the sassy red that they now want. For whatever reason your hair needs a correction of the color, it is important that you have a consultation with your stylist so that you fully understand the process and expectations, as well as the maintenance required afterwards.
