" Oil painting for me is a way of trying to capture nature in all it's beauty. With only a few years of serious painting, my skills are just being tapped. After winning first place and the coveted blue ribbon at the Multnomah County Fair in 2007, I knew that I had potential and began in earnest to improve my painting style. Now at the age of 72, the race is on to try and be the very best I can. I feel I have only just scratched the surface of my technique and skill, and am driven to improve with every painting. Most of my work has been painted from photographs that I have taken. Most of these were of flowers grown in my very own yard. It's a double joy to put the beauty of these wonders on canvas for all to see and enjoy."
